B1 & B2 Exams EASA Part 66 / 147 exams for B1 and B2 license categories and sub-categories. The aspiring students to go through the journey in the following steps to acquire AMLSTEP 1: Gain Basic Knowledge STEP 2: Gain Basic Experience STEP 3: Apply for a blank AMLMax. 10 years to finish Step 1 to Step 3 STEP 4: Attend theoretical part of a type training course and examination. STEP 5: Attend practical part of a type training course and practical assessment. STEP 6: Attend a structured On the Job Training (OJT). STEP 7: Apply for Type Rating endorsed on your AML Max. 3 years to finish Step 4 to Step 7

EASA Part 66 Basic Training

Gain Basic Knowledge

You have 3 options (Courses, Examinations or Credits) where you can get your basic knowledge. 

Basic Training Course

Finish a Basic training course & examinations in Part 147 approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization (AMTO). This in total requires 2400 hours of Theoretical and Practical training and altogether takes 20 months to be accomplished.

Technical Trade School

Finish any Technical Trade School whose program is recognized by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA which you chose to issue your AML). This option is possible only in a few EU states and other EASA approved select countries.

Part 147 MTO Examinations

At one of the competent authorities or in Part 147 approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization (AMTO), you pass all required module exams for the respective license category. 

For B1.1 there are 13 modules with 16 exams, for B2 there are 12 modules with 15 exams. 

You get a Certificate of Recognition for each module successfully completed.
