Career Path Guides :AME
An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), also known as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME or L-AME), is a licensed professional responsible for performing and certifying aircraft maintenance. This license is internationally recognized, with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standardizing its acceptance globally. While the American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) acknowledges this qualification in foreign countries, it refers to the role as an "Aviation Maintenance Engineer" instead of "Aircraft Maintenance Engineer".
